Kairo’s story
4-year-old Kairo suffers from a ventricular septal defect, also known as a hole in the heart, and needs urgent open-heart surgery to mend his heart.
Kairo’s parents are from the Philippines. His father is a driver and his mother is a teller at an exchange house. They do not have insurance or sufficient funds to cover the cost of their son’s life-saving treatment.
“Kairo loves watching cartoons and nothing gives us greater joy than seeing him happy. Unfortunately, his condition makes him lethargic and his little body is lifeless. It is devastating to see him suffering and we know that this surgery will give him a second chance to be healthy.”
Al Jalila Foundation has partnered with Emirates NBD to raise the funds required to cover Kairo’s treatment so that he can grow up healthy and strong.
