Hashem’s story
4-year-old Hashem is a bright and playful boy who loves football, cycling, drawing and electronic games. Despite his joyful nature, Hashem faces a serious health challenge. Born with Tetralogy of Fallot, a congenital heart defect, he needs open-heart surgery to prevent life-threatening complications.
When Hashem was born his parents’ joy turned to fear when they learnt of his devastating diagnosis. They have done everything they can to care for him, but with his father recently losing his job and no insurance to cover the life-saving surgery, they are overwhelmed with worry.
Originally from Jordan, Hashem’s family has called Dubai home for 11 years. He is the youngest of four, adored by his two sisters and older brother.
