Santhoshi’s story
2-month-old baby girl Santhoshi suffers from patent ductus arteriosus, a hole in her heart, and needs urgent open-heart surgery to repair the cardiac malformation.
Santhoshi’s parents, originally from Bangladesh, have been married for 13 years and she is their first child.
Santhoshi’s father has been on a reduced salary due to the global pandemic and the family do not have the financial means to cover the surgery costs. They have appealed to Al Jalila Foundation to support their baby with the life-saving care she desperately needs.
“My baby girl has a serious problem with her heart! She has difficulty breathing, she is not gaining weight and we are so scared to lose her.”
