Sarab’s story
Sarab became a widow in 2021. The loss of her husband came as a huge shock and she suffered a number of health issues including the loss of vision in her left eye due to a severe vitreous haemorrhage and needs urgent surgery to restore her sight.
Sarab is from Syria and has been living in the UAE for more than a decade with her late husband and two children. She is a homemaker and enjoys cooking and spending time with her son and daughter.
“The sudden loss in vision has left my mother depressed and she is heartbroken that she can not read the Quran. This surgery will be a beacon of hope. We pray that it will help her heal physically and emotionally.”
