Rayene’s story
When Rayene was just 11 years old he was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma, an acute blood cancer. After successful treatment hope was restored when he was declared cancer-free at the end of 2021. Sadly, Rayene recently suffered a relapse which came as devastating news for his family.
His parents, who are originally from Tunisia, are struggling financially and unable to cover the costs of Rayene’s treatment plan. This brave young boy has already been through so much, and his only chance of fighting this disease again is with your help.
Rayene’s mother says that the disease took a toll on his emotional health, especially when he had to stop going to school to focus on his treatment. He misses his friends and looks forward to the day that he will return to school and can play football, a sport he loved before his diagnosis.
“We are grateful to Al Jalila Foundation and the community for supporting Rayene. We know that he will beat cancer again. Our boy is a fighter and he will not give up. He will come out of this stronger than ever.”
