Saja is on the road to recovery
Saja was fitted with specialised orthotics and is standing tall and enjoying her new-found mobility.

Saja’s story
4-year-old Saja has suffered from limb abnormalities since birth. She cannot stand or walk without assistance and needs specialised orthoses for her legs and feet to give her mobility.
Saja’s mother and father, originally from Syria, have lived in the UAE for 8 years. They do not have the funds required to help Saja walk and have appealed to Al Jalila Foundation to support their young daughter with the medical care she needs.
“We have not been able to provide any special orthotic treatment for our daughter since birth. It is very difficult to see Saja so sad when she sees other children her age running and playing and she has to sit in one place. We are very hopeful that with the help of orthoses she will be able to walk and become independent as she continues to grow.”
